Experience the Connection of Horses

Our story began more than a decade ago with a rescue horse named Faith and a quiet dream placed on our hearts—to one day bring horses home to our own backyard. During the long journey of waiting, working, and trusting God’s timing, we discovered something profound: horses speak to our hearts in ways words never can. What began as a simple act of rescue slowly unfolded into something life-changing. We had no idea then how deeply these animals would shape who we are, how we live, and our sense of purpose.

For more than ten years, horses have been woven into our everyday life, gently teaching us patience, presence, trust, and compassion. Through them, we have witnessed anxious minds find peace, confidence take root, and hearts open in quiet, meaningful ways. Horses have an incredible ability to meet people exactly where they are—offering calm, connection, and reflection without judgment. In caring for them, we discovered that we were being cared for, too! This work is a gift and a responsibility, one we approach with gratitude and love.

At the heart of Shared Moments Equine Experience is a simple desire: to share the blessing of our horses with others. After finally purchasing our land, we spent three intentional years building a barn and creating a space rooted in peace, love, and purpose—a place where both people and horses can simply be present. Today, our barn doors are open, our hearts are ready, and we welcome others to step into this space with us.

Whether it’s a quiet meet-and-greet in the barn, unhurried family time, a gentle walk alongside a horse during a learning experience, or a meaningful moment captured in a photoshoot, we believe the most powerful moments are often the simplest ones. These are the moments that slow us down, draw us closer, and leave lasting impressions on the heart.

Shared Moments Equine Experience is rooted in gratitude—for the horses who rescued us right back, for the land entrusted to us, and for every person who chooses to share a moment of their story with us.

    Meet Stella- a tiny chestnut powerhouse! 🦾

Don’t let the size fool you—this mini girl is a full-sized personality in a compact package. Chestnut-colored and endlessly spunky, she’s brave, curious, and proudly a firecracker. Rescued and resilient, she approaches life head-on, convinced that the world is meant to be explored (and sampled, preferably if snacks are involved).

She adores her big-horse friends and has absolutely no problem holding her own among them. Fiercely devoted, she takes her role as protector of her sister Bella very seriously, standing watch with confidence well beyond her stature. Kisses on her muzzle are her favorite form of affection, and she returns them with charm to spare.

Unapologetically herself, full of heart, and always ready for the next adventure—or treat—she’s proof that bravery isn’t measured in hands high, but in spirit.

 Meet Bella- a soft-spoken little soul 🤗

This sweet mini horse is the definition of gentle charm. Shy and reserved by nature, she prefers to take her time—watching, learning, and quietly deciding when the moment feels right. Rescued and remarkably resilient, she’s thoughtful, smart, and cautiously curious about the world around her.

Affection comes softly with her, but when it does, it’s sincere and heart-melting. She loves warm sunshine, peaceful moments, and calm company, soaking it all in with quiet appreciation. Curvy and cute with a tender presence, she brings a sense of calm wherever she goes.

She may not be the loudest in the pasture, but her willingness, sweetness, and steady trust speak volumes. She’s a reminder that some of the most meaningful connections are built slowly—and are absolutely worth the wait.

  Meet Betty- Dressed in golden glow!  ☀️                               Betty is equal parts sunshine and soul. This "in your pocket" kind of girl is happiest right by your side- snuggled up, soaking in attention, and reminding you that life is better with a little extra affection. She loves her people deeply and isn't shy about showing it, often greeting you with cheerful little conversations as if she's catching up on the latest barn news. 

Behind her laid back, always-in-nap-mode lifestyle is a quietly courageous heart. She carries a softness that's felt the moment you're near her- gentle, kind, and endlessly genuine. She's not one for the fancy life: give her fresh air, open space, and a salt block to pass the time, and she's perfectly content. 

Sweet, snuggly, and just a little bit chatty, Betty is the kind of horse who makes every day feel slower, warmer, and a whole lot more loved.

              Meet Darlin- Quietly Confident Dark Bay!  💕           Smaller in size but mighty in presence, this lovely lady proves that leadership doesn't have to be loud. A rescue with a heart of gold, she is safe, sensible, and deeply trustworthy- the kind of horse you can count on without a second thought. Brave when it matters and sweet in every moment, she carries herself with a calm, quiet authority that keeps everyone in line. 

Her coat is impossibly soft- it's hard to stop petting her- and her gentle nature makes it easy to fall in love. She has a curious side too, especially when it comes to trying to sneak a sip of your matcha tea, just to see what the fuss is all about. When she's not supervising the herd, you'll often find her stretched out in the pasture, enjoying a well-earned nap under the sky. 

With a true heart to please and a deep love for the outdoors, she's the perfect blend of a dependable partner and quiet best friend- steady, kind and just silly enough to keep you smiling.

She was a large black beauty with an even bigger heart, she was calm, peaceful, and quietly wise. Older and wonderfully steady, she carried herself with grace and the lessons she taught will never be forgotten. Slow down, be present and take in the moments happening all around you.
